Ms. Liss's Cranberry Sauce

Beverly Bode Liss was one of my relatives-in-law on my mom's sister's husband's side. She was evidently a good cook, too, because this cranberry sauce is delicious! It's a holiday tradition in my house.

Beverly Bode Liss's Cranberry Sauce



  1. Put the water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add all the rest of the ingredients except the orange juice and boil vigorously for 5 minutes.
  3. Let sit to thicken.
  4. Add the orange juice.

We use this in my house at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it's good at any time of year. It's much better than that canned cranberry-log stuff, in my humble opinion, and it's very easy to make.
